Talking About Mental Health

I want to take an opportunity here to discuss why I write about mental health on my blog. I am writing as someone who has experienced mental health problems for over 20 years – to be specific; anxiety, depression and a panic disorder. I am not a medical professional, I am not a therapist – I have no formal qualifications related to mental health, I am writing only from my own experiences. I am sharing my story in the hopes that it helps someone else out there, but also as a form of therapy for myself. Please know that my intentions are good; I am writing with kindness and love, but also, please take my writing for what it is – anecdotal experiences rather than medical advice.

Affiliate Links

Sometimes I do use affiliate links on this blog. What that means, is that if you click on a link on this site and then make a purchase, I might make a small commission. It does not affect the price that you pay for your purchase.

I use affiliate links as a way to monetise my site, to allow me to continue to produce content and also pay my bills. I am by no means encouraging you to shop more than you need to, instead, I’m using links as a way to help you find products that I feel fit in with my philosophy of simple living.

Because a lot of the shopping I do is second hand and a lot of the items in my closet are old, when relevent, I may link to items that I have not personally tried, from brands I support. For example, if I am showing my second hand, vintage, navy coat – I will try and find similar styles online for you from ethical brands or second hand, in case you would like something similar.
